Portable bridge-mounted piezo with volume control for steel-string acoustic guitar

With onboard volume control, SG-2 is a perfect choice in a piezo pickup for guitar. It’s an acoustic bridge pickup that transfers the natural sound of your instrument without requiring modification.

SG-2 installs safely and securely between the bridge saddle and pins, held in place by the tension of tuned strings.

Onboard volume control

SG-2 has a passive design that reproduces the natural sound of the instrument with no need for a battery.

Complete set

Two cables are included — a 9-ft. 1/8" to 1/4" and a 3-ft. 1/8" to female 1/4" jumper with safety clip to connect with your instrument cable.

Instructions

Follow our installation guide through the following steps:

Loosen the strings of your guitar. The pickup will be inserted between the bridge pins and the saddle. The bridge saddle should have a minimum of 2.5mm (0.098”) height on the treble side to allow room for pickup placement and for it to function properly.

Starting with the narrow end, slide the pickup between the bridge pins and the saddle. Move the pickup from the treble side up to the bass side until the end rests below the last string.

With the SG-2 in place, tune the instrument normally, making sure the bridge pins remain properly seated

Press the top button to open the safety clip. Insert your instrument cable into the opening and release the button.

Hold the pickup head securely when attaching and detaching the cable.

Attach the clip to a suitable part of your instrument strap, belt or belt loop.The jumper cable and safety clip will protect your pickup from accidental damage caused by the cable pulling on the head of the pickup.
